Superintendent's Welcome Back Message

2026–2027 School Year

Dear Dolores County School District Families, Students, Staff, and Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

Whether you are returning to our schools or joining the Bulldog family for the first time, we are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and opportunity together. The start of a new school year always brings optimism, fresh beginnings, and the chance to build upon the strong traditions that make Dolores County School District a special place to learn and work.

This summer has been one of tremendous progress across our district. Thanks to the dedication of our maintenance staff, custodians, construction partners, and employees, our campuses are ready to welcome students back. We have completed the renovation of the new middle/high school administration offices, continue making excellent progress on our Agricultural Education and Career Technical Education improvements, and will soon begin installation of the new elementary perimeter fence. These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to providing safe, modern learning environments that support student success.

While we celebrate these improvements, our greatest investment continues to be our people. Our teachers, support staff, administrators, coaches, and volunteers work tirelessly to create engaging classrooms, meaningful relationships, and opportunities that prepare students for success after graduation. I am grateful for their dedication and passion.

This year, we will continue focusing on our district priorities:

  • Providing high-quality instruction that challenges and supports every student.
  • Creating safe, welcoming schools where every child feels valued.
  • Expanding opportunities through Career and Technical Education, extracurricular activities, and innovative learning experiences.
  • Maintaining strong partnerships with parents and our community.
  • Being responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to our district.

As we begin this school year, I encourage every member of our Bulldog community to embrace The Bulldog Way—showing respect, responsibility, perseverance, and pride in everything we do. When students, families, staff, and our community work together, there is no limit to what our students can achieve.

Thank you for your continued support of Dolores County School District. We are honored to serve your children and look forward to another outstanding year of learning, growth, and Bulldog pride.

Here's to a fantastic school year!

Go Bulldogs!
